Naxos launches the first volume of Debussy’s complete orchestral works and completes the Varèse orchestral music project.
Jun Märkl conducts the Orchestre National de Lyon, one of France’s leading orchestras, in stellar performances of La Mer, L’après-midi d’un faune, Children’s Corner, and Jeux—the recording was named “CD of the Month” by Classic FM magazine.
The second, and final, volume of the complete orchestral works of Varèse includes the composer’s monumental Ameriques, Ecuatorial and other works, performed by the Polish National Radio Symphony conducted by Christopher Lyndon-Gee.
