About the Author

He has also worked in Iraq, Pakistan, India, Ethiopia and Yemen and has filmed a documentary on the Afghan cricket team and their efforts to get to the World Cup.
Mark Hudson is a journalist, who has written for the Sunday Telegraph, the Times and the Observer. He has covered the war in Afghanistan, the American presidential election, world championship boxing, urban regeneration and the arts. He is a graduate of Oxford University and studied Middle East politics at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London.
