The young British composer Alexander Campkin has already received over 90 commissions from organisations such as The Royal Opera House, The London Mozart Players, The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, The Royal Ballet Sinfonia, Aldeburgh Music and The BBC Performing Arts Fund. He introduces his new album of choral works, True Light, in this audiovisual conversation with the conductor, David Crown. Compiled from Campkin’s output over the last ten years, the works employ original vocal effects in works described by Crown as “music that grows with each listening.”
